Diet Guidance

In these sessions we look at which foods are able to be tolerated most easily by your body at this time. We will also look at any food supplements (if needed) that will aid your bodies healing process. Suggestions will be made that will encourage healing. We will also look at any issues that are wanting to be addressed on the emotional, mental, spiritual as well as physical levels.

These sessions are designed to identify which foods and food supplements are easiest for your body to handle. The benefit in doing this is that it allows your body to create a healing environment. By taking foods out of your diet that you can’t digest and utilize easily you remove a major stress from your system. The energy and nutrients that your body had been having to use to deal with stress can now be used to heal your body instead. Your body doesn’t have to defend itself against the toxins you made and problems you created, by eating something that you couldn’t digest. These nutrients are now available to be redirected towards healing.

Nutrition is only one part of the puzzle. It is supporting the physical level. There is more than just the physical level needing attention when it comes to healing. Because most major health problems are not going to be healed only by cleaning up the diet we will look at the other levels, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and see what is needing attention in those areas.

Most bodies like to heal slowly. Quick fixes don’t create a foundation of health that the body can grow on. Most people after following this approach for 12-18 months are able to eat almost everything again.

Remember when we have disease and discomfort it is our body’s and spirit’s way of getting our attention telling us that something within is not in harmony and is demanding our awareness now.

A common question comes up for those who want to loose weight. Will I loose weight on this diet plan?  The major reasons for out of balance weight problems, in descending order, are: 1) Vitamin and mineral deficiencies, which cause overeating, 2) Eating indigestible foods, 3) Lack of exercise, 4) Overeating from emotions. Weight levels begin to balance themselves out as each problem is addressed. A five to fifteen pound weight loss can come from taking out indigestible foods and providing needed daily vitamin and mineral levels. If excess weight doesn’t just melt away don’t get discouraged. Excess weight is an indicator of imbalance that you are working on bring into balance. Remember you didn’t get out of balance overnight and you won’t get back into balance overnight. Sometimes it takes months to bring the body into a balanced state. For some, high body weight won’t shift until certain vitamins and minerals are brought out of deficient levels.
